Selecting a Crystal
Now that you are ready to purchase a crystal or crystals, how do you select one?
You may have a specific reason for choosing a stone, for example, there may be a specific challenge in your life that you are dealing with, or you may want to bring more of a particular energy into your life, in which case you could choose the stone based on its known properties. For example, to bring abundance into your life connect with Citrine, the stone of manifestation, abundance and all things good. If you’re looking for more love in your life, in relationships, including self-love, Rose Quartz is the stone of unconditional love.
Use your intuition to choose your stones by selecting whatever stone you are most drawn to. If you are in a crystal shop, explore! Sense what crystal(s) you are drawn to. You may be drawn to their physical beauty, their energy or both. To assist you in making your choice, feel the energy of the stone by holding the crystal in your non-dominant hand, close your eyes and connect with the energy of the stone. If you are familiar with pendulums, they can serve as a helpful tool in assisting you in selecting a crystal to work with you.
Listen to your intuition or inner guidance to determine which crystal you feel called to use. Many times the crystal chooses you!
